Montalcino, the Crete Senesi, Pienza and Montepulciano
13 March 2020

Montalcino is a splendid medieval village, very popular; why not visit the fortress, home to a wine shop where you can try the different vintages of Brunello, the most famous wine in Italy. S. Antimo, 10 km from Montalcino, is a cathedral where you can attend the beautiful liturgical celebrations in Gregorian chant. The Val d’Orcia and the Crete Senesi represent the typical Tuscan landscape: the most important centres are S. Quirico, with the thermal complex of Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, the ideal city of the 16th century. You can continue to Montepulciano, with its Piazza Grande, the majestic Palaces and the isolated Church of S. Biagio, a true Renaissance masterpiece.
